GENERIK design is a small flexible design studio based in Pasadena, California in the San Rafael district near old town.
With over 25 years of combined experience in Europe, Asia and North America, we bring a high expectation in the design process and can manage all parts of the construction documents, coordination with the city and consultants as well as managing the construction.
Luc Peltier‘s extensive international experience has led him to design mid and large scale mixed-use, entertainment, cultural and residential projects.
He started his practice in 2009 and has provided outstanding services in the residential, commercial and restaurant field, leading projects and specialty consultants in all phases of the design process to ensure quality driven results.
Prior to this, he worked and collaborated with renowned architecture firms such as Architecture Jean Nouvel, J.M.Wilmotte, and De Portzamparc while living in Paris and is still influenced by their work today...While in Los Angeles with Gensler, Harley Ellis Devereaux, Nadel Architects and holds himself to the same high design expectations as these award winning firms.
Luc holds Master’s degrees in both Architecture and Technology of Communication & Multimedia from Paris, France. He is a licensed Architect in France. Luc moved to Los Angeles in 2000, and brings more than 20 years of experience to our firm, with a specialization in corporate & commercial projects including high-rise, retail, multi-family residential, and planning.
Luc in the course of his studies and career has always had an interest in contextual architecture, in other words
how to blend in a place, create a dialogue with the site in order to bring a human feel to constructions. The use of new technologies has also been an important part of his approach, focusing on bringing a more poetic result.
Outside work, you could find Luc Sailing a boat to Catalina, going to art shows, riding a motorcycle thru Baja Mexico or catching a few waves along the coast of California...
